Coleman was raised in Blackpool, Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character she replied that it is regrettable not to have had the typical university experience. Coleman when she was still in high school, was a member of a theatrical company called In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. An award was presented to her for the presentation, while the show itself received a favorable reception. Coleman, who was looking to audition for drama college in 2005, was offered Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was twice nominated for Awards in 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated to win two awards: the British Soap Awards as the most promising newcomer and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. In 2009, she received nominations in two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's character after Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her because of how well she could work alongside Smith, and that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the world of entertainment since 1987. However, she is better known for TV projects instead of films. Eva's TV roles on"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. She was nominated for the two "Daytime Emmys" in the role she played, and she also had a chance explore the musical side of her. Eva is a businesswoman, in addition to an actor. Eva has three husbands and one child born from the third.
