Zoe-perry

Perry is a Chicago native, she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the role. Because of their fear of stress, the parents did not want to see the actress pursue acting until she turned 18. Perry acknowledged that she was not at ease in the stage during high school. She began acting to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry made her debut in New York after graduation, performing in minor roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry come back to California and find work as a theater actress. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was presented at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played a part in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. In addition, she played the older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The part was offered an audition to the actress, despite the fact that she was a cousin with the role.
